Hi. I'm Caitie. I have been researching my family history since 2009, and love going to genealogy conferences, cemeteries, archives and all that! This blog is all about my adventures in genealogy.
Hi Catie, I have just started a support and networking Facebook page for Australian Local and Family History Bloggers: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1070035523030558/ We would love to have you as a member if you would like to join us. Kind regards Jenny Coates http://conversationswithgrandma.wordpress.com/
The record I have (Mother's handwriting) shows her middle name as Emmaline, not Elizabeth. Did you find something other that maybe Mother hadn't? Molly
The chart I have (Mother's handwriting)shows her middle name to be Emmaline, not Elizabeth. Did you find some other documentation that shows it to have been Elizabeth? Emmaline is one of those names Mother wanted me to use for the girls. Like Adelaide. :-)
Hi Caitlin, My ancestors came from the same place as your William Dow was born. On their marriage certificate, a witness (probably best man) was a William Gow. My preliminary research shows it was probably your William's father. Can you confirm for me if his father was also William Gow? They must have been great friends! Kind regards, Ken
Hi, I'm a cousin, related through the Gills down to Edwin James Brenton. OMG, now I am nearly 60, every time I look in the mirror, all I see is Mercy Catt!
