The record I have (Mother's handwriting) shows her middle name as Emmaline, not Elizabeth. Did you find something other that maybe Mother hadn't? Molly

ReplyDeleteMy ancestors came from the same place as your William Dow was born. On their marriage certificate, a witness (probably best man) was a William Gow. My preliminary research shows it was probably your William's father. Can you confirm for me if his father was also William Gow? They must have been great friends!
