If you could have been born in any other year, what would it be and why?

Here's my answer: 1970 - My maternal Grandmother passed away in 1980, ten years before I was born. She was the genealogy queen in our family. 1970 would give me ten wonderful years with her.

2014; the year my mother passed...1 year later 2015 i tracked down my biological father using DNA and genealogical sources.
ReplyDeleteIf I could visit another time it would be 1830. That would put smack dab in the middle of my two brick walls. If I were born then it wouldn't be too bad, I'd get to wear hoop skirts in my 30's and bustles in my 40's.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, well if I had been born in 1943 I would have been able to know and remember my maternal grandparents. However, my brother was born in 1943, so he got the honors instead. If I had been born in 1945 I would have known and remembered the brother who died in infancy, but I would have been older than my sister. That would be weird. Had I been born in 1963, I would have already been a great aunt when I was born. Something tells me there was no better time for me to be born than the tail end of 1953!
